Cleveland Clinic Florida's Hospital Care at Home program provides a home-based alternative to acute and post-acute hospital care, allowing eligible patients to receive hospital-level treatment in the comfort of their own homes. As a Care at Home Nurse Manager, you will provide leadership for daily operations by conducting leadership rounds, overseeing departmental performance, developing and implementing policies, managing annual performance reviews (APRs), and supporting the growth and development of nursing staff. Collaborating with interdisciplinary caregivers, you will use your clinical expertise, critical thinking, and leadership skills to ensure high-quality patient care from admission through discharge while advancing Cleveland Clinic's commitment to exceptional patient outcomes and caregiver excellence.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing (BSN)
  • Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN)
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) or the American Red Cross
  • If in a Critical Care area an Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) through American Heart Association (AHA) or ALS through American Red Cross) Certification must be presented upon hire or within first year of hire
  • Three years of recent clinical nursing experience, including at least one year of healthcare management experience
  • High degree of clinical expertise in the specialty area
  • Demonstrated leadership, management, communication, counseling, problem solving, decision making, conflict resolution and group process skills

Responsibilities

  • Manage the practice of professional nursing and delivery of nursing care on an assigned unit.
  • Establish clinical direction of nursing care, provide clinical supervision and maintain quality outcomes and patient care standards.
  • Identify and resolve issues affecting the delivery of patient care.
  • Develop quality initiatives and implement policies and procedures to ensure efficient and effective delivery of health services in a unit.
  • Develop and maintain unit-related patient care standards through continuous quality improvement.
  • Maintain adherence to JCAHO and other regulatory standards.
  • Analyze personnel structure and determine staffing needs and mix.
  • Provide direction and supervision, evaluate performance, conduct selection and termination process and develop strategic plans.
  • Actively promote staff and self-development.
  • Participate in clinical nursing research and support foundation research activities.
  • Direct unit participation in evaluation of new products.
  • Approve purchases and establish or revise inventory quotes.
  • Assist in the development and monitoring of budget.
