About The Position
The LPN/LVN provides nursing care in The Ashton at Villages Crossing, a Sonida Senior Living community in Lady Lake, Florida. The community provides assisted living and memory care. The role includes directing nursing assistants’ day-to-day functions, administering physician-ordered medications, reporting on shift activities, maintaining adequate supplies, ordering prescriptions, and performing chart preparation and other office duties.
Requirements
- At least 1 year of experience.
- Current, unencumbered LPN/LVN license, which must be maintained.
Responsibilities
- Direct the day-to-day functions of nursing assistants in accordance with rules, regulations, and guidelines governing the Assisted Living Facility.
- Administer medications as ordered by the physician.
- Prepare written and oral reports and recommendations concerning shift activities as required.
- Ensure adequate medication, supply, and equipment inventories for residents’ nursing needs, and report needs to the nursing supervisor.
- Call pharmacies to order prescriptions.
- Pull and prepare patient charts and perform other general office duties as required.
