About The Position
The In Home program assists adults in maintaining themselves in their own homes despite a decrease in ability. Provides one-on-one patient interaction in a home setting. Payment is through Medicaid, VA, Long term care insurance and Private Pay. Visiting Nurse Association of Southeast Missouri is a non-profit organization. Will also assist with Private Duty nursing one day a week. Private Duty nursing is a one-on-one care in the home typically serving pediatric clients, who have specialized healthcare needs and require long-term skilled medical care.
Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- At least one year of nursing experience
- Missouri nursing license
- Reliable transportation
- Proof of automobile insurance
- Must pass pre-employment drug screening
- Must pass criminal background check
- Must be registered with Family Care Registry
- Must not be listed on Employee Disqualification List (EDL)
- Must complete an application in full
- Furnish at least 2 credible business references with correct addresses and telephone numbers
- Must be able to lift a minimum of 35 lbs
Nice To Haves
- One year in Hospice or Home Health setting preferred
Responsibilities
- Weekly medication setup
- Diabetic and Anticoagulant nailcare
- General health assessments
- Check vital signs
- Supervision of staff performing advanced tasks in the home
- Private Duty nursing one day a week
