About The Position
North Suffolk Community Services offers practicums in Community Mental Health Centers with their nurse practitioner team as preceptors. This is an ideal setting for students with experience or interest in severe mental illness. Students will work with a wide variety of diagnoses and presentations across different demographics. This opportunity is open to psychiatric mental health NP or DNP candidates and is not for RN/BSN candidates.
Requirements
- Must be a psychiatric mental health NP or DNP candidate.
- Self-motivated.
- Able to take initiative.

- Experience or interest in severe mental illness.
