About The Position

This role is for a Nursing Intern in the Med Surg department at St. Joseph Hospital in Milwaukee, WI. The intern will provide direct nursing care under the supervision of a nurse, following healthcare policies and protocols. Responsibilities include assisting with daily living activities, taking vital signs, completing assigned nursing orders, observing and documenting patient status, reporting findings to the preceptor or appropriate staff, supporting care plan development, assisting with test results, and handling tasks such as patient transport and environmental services.

Requirements

BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
High school diploma/GED required.
Must be accepted or enrolled into a Nursing program upon date of hire/transfer and begin classes within 90 days of date of hire/transfer required.

Responsibilities
