About The Position

Paul D. Camp Community College is a small 2-year college in Southeast Virginia with campuses in Franklin and Suffolk, and a center in Smithfield. The college offers associate degrees, certificates, and career studies certificates in transfer and career/technical programs. It also provides credit and non-credit workforce services, special interest classes, and summer youth classes. A dual enrollment program, online courses, and developmental studies classes are available. This is a restricted, part-time position funded through rural health transformation grants to expand nursing instruction in practical and associate degree programs. The college seeks nursing instructors to support its mission of providing diverse learning opportunities. The role involves working with ADN nursing students in clinical and lab settings, addressing their specific educational needs based on their semester. The instructor will be responsible for modules and orientation related to assigned facilities, representing the college professionally, and supporting students. The position focuses on developing and supporting the nursing programs, particularly the part-time, evening, and weekend programs.

Responsibilities

  • Working with ADN nursing students in the clinical and lab setting.

  • Maintain a supportive role for the students.
