This role ensures the highest standards of clinical quality, regulatory compliance, employee engagement, and resident satisfaction, while maintaining financial stewardship. Requirements

  • Current New York State Nursing Home Administrator license (required)
  • Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Business, or related field preferred
  • Minimum of 3–5 years of leadership experience in a skilled nursing or long-term care setting
  • Strong knowledge of NYS and federal regulations
  • Demonstrated success in quality outcomes, team leadership, and operational management
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills
  • Commitment to mission-driven, resident-centered care

Responsibilities

  • Provide operational leadership for the facility
  • Ensure compliance with all federal, state (NYSDOH), and local regulations
  • Drive quality improvement initiatives and survey readiness
  • Foster a culture of quality, accountability, and person-centered care
  • Lead, mentor, and support department heads and interdisciplinary teams
  • Oversee financial performance, budgeting, and resource allocation
  • Maintain strong relationships with residents, families, and community stakeholders
  • Collaborate with campus leadership to align services and support system-wide goals
