About The Position

This position is responsible for the overall leadership and management of the location, including meeting established goals and outcomes, ensuring regulatory and organization compliance, directing and coordinating work, financial and operational stability, and demonstrating leadership. The role involves managing resident services by effectively communicating and responding to customers, proactively addressing changes and concerns with families and staff, and ensuring resident needs are met. It also encompasses risk management, including infection prevention and control, maintaining a culture of safety, ensuring resident rights, and HIPAA compliance. The Administrator is also responsible for implementing and leading a Quality Assurance Performance Improvement (QAPI) Program and acts as the Compliance Liaison. Effective communication and documentation are key, requiring clear oral and written expression, timely communication within the organization, and accurate report completion. Additionally, the Administrator works with department teams and consultants to oversee the campus's financial and operational objectives.

Requirements

  • The ability to be a licensed as a Nursing Home Administrator in the state of practice
  • Other licenses as appropriate by state requirements and facility needs

  • Create and maintain a culture of safety
  • Ensure a safety program is in place with scheduled inspections making corrections as necessary
  • Provide equipment and supplies to ensure a safe environment
  • Assure resident rights are protected and that all residents, families and significant others are made aware of those rights
  • Ensure HIPAA compliance
  • Ensure a Quality Assurance Performance Improvement (QAPI) Program is in place
  • Assign responsibility to an individual(s) for the daily management of QAPI
  • Ensure the leadership of monthly QAPI committee meetings
  • Sponsor performance improvement projects and review, approve or reject performance improvement team findings and recommendations
  • Provide access to information needed to support quality assurance performance improvement and provide equipment and supplies to support QAPI efforts
  • Support the Chief Compliance Officer in carrying out the Compliance Program as the Compliance Liaison of the facility
  • Express ideas clearly, concisely and effectively both orally and in writing
  • Request ongoing feedback on task performance
  • Communicate upward and downward within the organization appropriately and in a timely fashion
  • Ensure documentation and reports are completed as required by regulations and/or policy and procedure
  • Seek clarification of assignments and ask questions when needed
  • Keep supervisor informed and follow chain of command as appropriate when reporting issues or concerns
  • Work with department teams, and consultants to oversee operations of the campus
