About The Position
Orbis Education has partnered with Concordia University in St. Paul to offer an Accelerated Bachelor of Science in Nursing Program. This program involves online theory instruction, hands-on learning in a lab and simulation environment, and clinical rotations in the MSP area. We are looking for a full-time instructor to supervise students in the clinical and lab settings. The Clinical Lab Instructor's main role is to implement the academic programs within the clinical and lab environments. Instructors are responsible for teaching a clinical or lab course and are expected to contribute to the university's missions of teaching, research, and service. Orbis Education partners with colleges and universities to expand their pre-licensure healthcare programs, utilizing their expertise to graduate students prepared for the workforce.
Requirements
- An ability to develop, support and maintain positive working relationships with colleagues, students, and adjunct clinical faculty
- Evidence of 3 years of successful professional nursing practice.
- BSN degree, willing to enroll in an MSN degree program
- MN RN licensure
Nice To Haves
- Evidence of 2 years of teaching experience
- Ability to provide a supportive learning environment for students
- MS degree in nursing is preferred
- Additional ongoing certifications and training desired
Responsibilities
- Facilitate effective student learning in the clinical/lab setting and via the online learning environment
- Provide adequate guidance for students in the clinical/lab setting related to professionalism, practice, and research
- Collaborate effectively with the Healthcare Partner and its staff and support clinical adjunct faculty when needed
- Maintain and teach current knowledge of the approved nursing curriculum, policies, and requirements
- Maintains clinical competence and knowledge in area of expertise
