About The Position

The program is seeking a qualified professional with expertise in medical surgical nursing. Additional experience in pediatric nursing preferred. Please note that this position is in the full-time faculty bargaining unit, which is represented by the American Federation of Teachers (AFT), Maryland.

Requirements

• Current RN licensure in the State of Maryland
• A minimum of a Master's Degree in Nursing
• Demonstrate a strong foundation in nursing theory and practice
• Current bedside nursing experience is required

Nice To Haves

• Additional experience in pediatric nursing
• A Master's in Nursing Education or Post – Master's Certificate in Nursing Education is preferred

Responsibilities

• Classroom and clinical teaching
• Engaging in department and college wide service activities
• Academic advising
• Responsibility for nursing concepts related to each of the above specialty areas and will be assigned according to area of professional expertise
• Direct supervision of students in a variety of settings
