About The Position
James Madison University (JMU) School of Nursing invites applications for a 12-month renewable term appointment at the rank of Assistant Professor of Practice beginning April 1, 2027. The School of Nursing offers CCNE-accredited Baccalaureate, Master’s, and Doctor of Nursing Practice programs. This position will primarily support the Fast Flex BSN, a new initiative designed to operate during evenings and weekends, with a primarily precepted clinical model. JMU is a comprehensive state university offering 76 undergraduate, 53 masters, and 8 doctoral programs to more than 20,000 students. Requirements
- A minimum of a graduate degree in Nursing is required.
- An active RN registration and the ability to obtain Virginia nursing licensure by the position’s start date of April 1, 2027 are required.
- At least three years of recent clinical experience in adult health nursing.

Responsibilities
- Teaching, scholarship, and professional, community, and/or university service.
- In-person teaching in classroom, laboratory, and clinical settings for the BSN-Fast Flex pathway.
