The Nursing Education Support Team Coordinator is responsible for maintaining compliance with hospital, regulatory, and Joint Commission guidelines related to education to enhance safe, quality patient care. This role actively engages in continuous quality improvement initiatives and demonstrates organizational commitment, ethical, and professional behavior by serving as a role model for hospital values. The coordinator maintains appropriate confidentiality of privileged information and participates in activities to promote professional growth and development. Key responsibilities include coordinating the scheduling of all nurse assignments, managing the client database, and assisting with in-hospital recruiting by establishing initial contact with families at local birthing hospitals. The role involves successfully engaging, recruiting, and scheduling families for nurse home visits, building relationships with hospital birth center management and staff, and troubleshooting recruitment problems. The coordinator also schedules clients by phone, conducts post-visit connection (PVC) calls, tracks services, and provides re-referrals. They function as the primary public contact to answer questions and reschedule home visits via phone, email, and an online scheduling tool, ensuring timely follow-up and excellent customer service. Additionally, the coordinator is an active member of the Nurse Education Support Team, attending all required meetings and trainings, and completing other duties as assigned by leadership.
