About The Position

As a Nursing Director for MiraVista in Holyoke, Massachusetts, you will bring your experience and knowledge where your voice matters. A Nursing Director is an integral part of our multidisciplinary treatment team. You will provide direct care and support not only to our patients but also their families and make decisions that impact the lives of your peers, your patients, and your community. MiraVista Behavioral Health Center is a new health care provider created to bring much needed psychiatric and substance use recovery services to Western Massachusetts. Located in Holyoke and accessible from all major highways, we provide expert and patient focused treatment through a wide range of inpatient and outpatient programs. Requirements

  • Current Registered Nurse licensure in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts
  • BSN required
  • Experience in program development and implementation, and leadership experience of no less than five years in diverse program management
  • Three years in diverse program management positions including staff development and supervision preferred
  • Advanced level knowledge of behavior health and advanced skills in the application of nursing clinical treatment modalities with population(s) served
  • Experience in and philosophical commitment to inpatient care
  • Skills in interpreting and applying standards and regulation applicable to programs and services (e.g. JC, CMS,DMH, DPH)
  • Organizational, time management, problem-solving, crisis management, and team-building skills
  • Flexibility, creativity, and ability to manage stress necessary; skills in maintaining professional confidentiality required.

Nice To Haves

  • CNS and MSN strongly preferred
  • Relevant Masters level education with specialist training preferred
  • hospital setting preferred

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for nursing clinical administration and supervision
  • Work in collaboration with the Medical Director and Program Director on fiscal management, creating and developing clinically sound, consumer-oriented services responsive to community need
  • Actively work with senior management and program staff to provide: policies, procedures, training, budget management and interventions
  • Contributions will promote sound management, high quality outcomes, regulatory compliance, continuous improvement and long-term fiscal solvency of the programs
  • Responsible for scheduling, orientation, problem solving, communication, staff education and evaluations
  • Assume delegated responsibilities in the absence of other senior managers
