About The Position

We are hiring a Nursing Director to oversee inpatient care services, including medical/surgical units and ICU operations. This role is responsible for nursing leadership, patient care quality, safety, staffing oversight, and daily operational performance across inpatient nursing departments.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Bachelor's degree in nursing required.
• Active Maine Registered Nurse license or Compact RN license required. License must be current and in good standing with the Board of Nursing.
• BLS/BCLS certification required.
• ACLS certification required.
• Strong leadership, communication, quality, safety, and operational management skills required.

Nice To Haves

• Master's degree in nursing preferred.
• Specialty and leadership certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and operational oversight for medical/surgical units and ICU.
• Ensure high-quality, safe, and patient-centered nursing care.
• Manage nursing services using sound human resource and financial management practices.
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to support patient and family care.
• Implement and maintain policies, procedures, standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Assume 24-hour responsibility, authority, and accountability for patient care activities and service operations.
