About The Position
We are seeking an experienced Nursing Director to lead Emergency Department nursing operations, with responsibility for clinical practice, quality, staffing, patient safety, financial performance, and regulatory compliance.
Requirements
- Master’s degree required in Nursing, Healthcare Administration, Business, or related field; one degree must be in Nursing.
- Active Michigan RN license.
- Minimum 5 years of clinical and/or progressively responsible management experience.
- Nursing specialty certification preferred; certification required within one year of hire.
- Strong leadership, communication, financial management, and quality-improvement skills.
Responsibilities
- Lead and develop ED nursing teams and subordinate leaders.
- Oversee daily operations, staffing, recruitment, and staff development.
- Ensure quality patient care and compliance with nursing and regulatory standards.
- Manage departmental budgets, resources, and financial performance.
- Partner with physicians and multidisciplinary teams to improve patient care and outcomes.
- Develop and implement nursing policies, standards, and performance improvement initiatives.
- Support employee engagement, professional development, and organizational goals.
