About The Position

This position is for a Department administrator who establishes and enforces policies, procedures, standards, and objectives. The role involves directing and supervising staff and workflow, with budgetary and fiscal accountability. The Nursing Director is responsible 24 hours a day for the ongoing effective operation of the assigned Nursing department, taking a leadership role that supports the hospital’s mission, vision, goals, and objectives, while focusing on patients, physicians, employees, volunteers, and the community as customers. The position holds ongoing accountability for the continuous assessment, improvement, coordination, and integration of department services and standards of care into the hospital’s primary function. This role is also responsible for approving timekeeping, employee evaluation, meeting applicable regulatory standards, approving supply orders, and department strategic planning. Responsibilities
