About The Position

The Nursing Department Supervisor is responsible for overseeing nursing operations within the Med Surg unit. This is a full-time position on the first shift.

Requirements

• Graduate of a RN program.
• ADN required.
• 3-5 years’ experience working as an RN in an acute care environment.
• Thorough knowledge of nursing principles and hospital policies and procedures.
• Ability to provide quality patient care.
• Ability to communicate and work effectively with people.
• Potential for leadership.
• Ability to assess patient's needs (clinical, teaching, mental, and spiritual).
• Basic computer skills.
• Currently licensed to practice as Registered Nurse in State of South Carolina.
• Course completion in Basic Life Support (BLS).
• Course completion in Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS).
• Must complete NIMS Training, ICS100, ICS200, and IS700 within the first 90 days of hire or promotion to a clinical supervisor or provide completion certificate.

• BSN preferred.
