This is a Part-Time Nursing Clinical Instructor position within the Nursing Department, Division of Health Professions, located on the Lawrence Campus. The role involves supervising clinical experience for up to 6 students for 8-16 hours per week on an as-needed basis for the Fall 2026 semester and beyond. The duties include providing clinical instruction that coordinates with theoretical content and achieves course objectives. The Clinical Instructor will play a critical role in the teaching and learning process as a member of the nursing team, contributing to student success. Positions are available pending sufficient enrollment.

Requirements

  • Master's Degree in Nursing (for ADN instruction level)
  • MA Registered Nurse license in good standing
  • Baccalaureate degree in Nursing from an accredited institution of higher learning (for practical nursing instruction level)
  • A minimum of two (2) years full-time experience in nursing, or its equivalent, within the last five (5) years
  • Evidence of competence in clinical area of Maternal-child, Medical Surgical Nursing, or Psychiatric Nursing
  • Basic Life Support Health Provider Level certification from American Heart Association

Nice To Haves

  • Master's degree in Nursing or enrolled in an MSN program or have passed Certified Nurse Educator certification exam with 5 years of full-time experience.
  • Previous clinical teaching experience
  • Experience with the use of patient simulation and technology
  • MA and NH Registered Nurse license in good standing for NH clinical placements
  • Bilingual (Spanish/English)
  • Experience working with and supporting a culturally diverse population

Responsibilities

  • Prepare clinical assignments prior to clinical learning experience
  • Instruct and Supervise nursing students in the clinical setting
  • Instruct and Supervise nursing students with virtual clinical simulation to support the achievement of student learner outcomes when clinical agency is unavailable
  • Evaluate student learning assignments and provide constructive feedback
  • Complete formative and summative student evaluations
  • Communicate with Course Team Leader on a weekly basis regarding student issues
  • Perform other duties associated with the position.
