About The Position
A Clinical Adjunct is responsible for facilitating student learning in clinical environments by bridging theoretical knowledge with practical application. This role focuses on supervising students, ensuring safe patient care practices, and supporting the development of clinical judgment and professional behaviors.
Requirements
- Current unencumbered Iowa or compact state RN license
- 2 years experience
- BSN degree or working toward completion of BSN
- Ability to teach and supervise students safely
- Ability to pass a background check
Responsibilities
- Supervise and guide students during clinical experiences in healthcare settings
- Ensure students adhere to safety standards, policies, and ethical practices
- Facilitate the application of classroom knowledge to patient care situations
- Provide real-time feedback and evaluate student performance
- Collaborate with course faculty to align clinical experiences with course objectives
- Maintain accurate documentation of student progress and competencies
- Serve as a professional role model in communication, clinical skills, and decision-making
