The Acute Rehabilitation Unit is a 17-bed unit that utilizes nursing and physical medicine therapies in a trans-disciplinary team approach to family-centered care. This role involves an interdisciplinary approach to Performance Improvement, Education, Policy/Procedure, and Delivery of Care. Resources and support are available for advanced training and certification in Rehabilitation Nursing. This is a PRN position requiring a minimum of 24 hours off shift per 6-week schedule, including 12-hour day/evening/night shifts, and weekend and holiday work as needed. The nursing attendant functions as an integral part of the patient care team by performing selected patient care treatments and tasks as delegated by a licensed nurse. They are accountable for their actions in performing duties as assigned and for which they are trained, including recognition and understanding of the physical, cognitive, and psychosocial changes unique to the age/population group served on the unit.
