The Telemetry/Observation Unit (Tele/Obs) is a 30-bed unit specializing in cardiac, medical, and surgical patients. This position offers an individualized, comprehensive orientation program, including a Basic Rhythm course, ACLS certification, and NIHSS course. A mentorship program is available after orientation. This is a part-time position (72 hours biweekly) with a 6-6 shift (12-hour day/night) and requires working every third weekend. The nursing attendant functions as an integral part of the patient care team by performing selected patient care treatments and tasks as delegated by a licensed nurse. They are accountable for their actions in performing duties as assigned and for which they are trained, including recognition and understanding of the physical, cognitive, and psychosocial changes unique to the age/population group served on the unit.
