Nursing Assistant Surgical Inpatient FT Days
About The Position
We are seeking a Nursing Assistant for the Surgical Inpatient Unit at Baptist Health Floyd. This is a full-time position (36 hours weekly) with day shifts (7 am-7 pm) and is benefit eligible. The Nursing Assistant, under general supervision and according to established procedures, functions as an on-shift team member under the direction of the nurse. They provide delegated aspects of patient care and perform routine non-patient care unit maintenance tasks. The Surgical Inpatient Unit (SIPS) is a 32-bed unit specializing in inpatient care for post-surgical patients, including total joint replacements, bariatric surgeries, and higher acuity cases such as post-surgical vascular and thoracic patients. The unit also accepts post-operative admissions from areas like the emergency room or a physician’s office.
Requirements
- BLS for Healthcare Provider required
- High school diploma/equivalent or CNA preferred, not required.
