About The Position

Encompass Health is seeking a Nursing Assistant to provide compassionate, personalized support to patients during their rehabilitation journey and assist registered nurses. The role involves helping patients with daily activities, preparing and transporting patients, communicating concerns to nurses, and building supportive relationships with patients and families. The position offers full-time, part-time, PRN, and short-term contract opportunities, with flexible schedules noted as 7–7 and short-term contract shifts available on days and nights.

Requirements

• CPR certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Assist nurses with patients and treatments as needed.
• Help patients with daily personal activities, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and eating.
• Prepare and transport patients.
• Communicate patient concerns to nurses.
• Build meaningful relationships with patients and their families and understand their individual needs to facilitate recovery.
• Celebrate patients’ victories and milestones.
