About The Position

Saratoga Retirement Community is seeking dedicated and compassionate Nursing Assistants for its 94-bed skilled nursing facility. The role supports residents’ daily care, safety, health monitoring, and participation in activities, following each resident’s individually designed ADL directives. This is a part-time AM/PM shift position paying $25.00–$30.00 per hour, depending on experience.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent, plus additional specialized training.
Current CNA, NAR, or HCA license in good standing.
Current CPR and First Aid certification.
English reading, writing, and speaking ability sufficient to complete the responsibilities of the position.
Successful completion of a background check and drug test; fingerprinting, a physical examination, and a TB test may also be required under state or local guidelines.

Responsibilities

Read, understand, and follow residents’ individually designed ADL directives.
Document residents’ conditions daily, complete flow sheets, and report changes to a supervisor.
Assist residents with bathing, toileting, oral hygiene, grooming, nail clipping, and dressing.
Assist with serving meals and lead and attend activities.
Stay current on resident and department changes, schedules, and activities, and assist residents as necessary.
Assist with resident admissions and discharges.
Record vital signs and conditions on a scheduled basis or as needed.
Provide verbal and physical assistance with transfers and ambulation.
Respond promptly to calls for assistance and report possible safety hazards.
Maintain neat and clean work areas and keep resident rooms orderly, comfortable, clean, and safe.
Dress residents as their conditions require.
Ensure assigned residents have opportunities to participate in social, physical, creative, and spiritual activities of their choice.
Perform other duties as assigned.
