Nursing Assistant - Mayville Acute Care - Straight Nights
About The Position
Sanford Health is hiring a full-time Nursing Assistant for the Mayville Medical Center’s Acute Care department. The Nursing Assistant serves as a caregiver during scheduled work periods, providing patient-centered nursing care and daily living assistance to assigned patients under the supervision of a Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse. The role provides care to a variety of patients and works with experienced nursing staff to create a warm, welcoming environment that supports healing and positivity. Applicants at all experience levels are welcome. The position works 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m., 36 scheduled hours per week, with every third weekend and a rotation of holidays required. Specialized onboarding and on-the-job training are available, along with educational assistance for career advancement.
Requirements
- Obtain and maintain required department-specific competencies and certifications.
- For work in North Dakota or Minnesota, if not a Certified Nursing Assistant, be listed on the applicable state Nursing Assistant Registry within four months of hire.
- For work in Wisconsin, be listed on the Wisconsin Nurse Aide Registry with current work eligibility, or be a qualifying student nurse enrolled at a school approved by the Wisconsin Board of Nursing who has completed a basic nursing course and 16 hours of clinical experience.
Nice To Haves
- High school diploma or GED is preferred but not required.
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification is preferred.
Responsibilities
