About The Position
The Nursing Assistant at St Joseph Hospital Eureka in Eureka, CA is a Full Time position working 12-hour Night shifts. The Nursing Assistant uses intellectual, interpersonal, and technical skills to provide basic patient care under the supervision of the Assistant Nurse Manager, Charge Nurse, or RN. This role involves assisting with routine, direct bedside care for patients of various ages, including personal hygiene, data collection, vital signs, intake and output, equipment use, ADLs, medical record documentation, answering call lights, and responding to emergencies. Requirements
- National Provider BLS - American Heart Association (within 30 days of hire)

Responsibilities
- Perform personal hygiene for patients.
- Collect data and make observations.
- Measure and record vital signs.
- Monitor and record intake and output (I&O).
- Operate and use equipment.
- Assist with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs).
- Document patient care on the medical record.
- Respond to patient call lights.
- Recognize and respond to emergency situations.
