About The Position

Supports nursing services by assisting with medication administration and monitoring resident health needs. Promotes resident wellness by following established medical protocols under the direction of licensed nursing staff.

Requirements

  • Certified Medication Aide (or eligible per South Dakota regulations).
  • Current CPR certification.
  • Ability to follow medical protocols and directions from licensed nursing staff.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Valid South Dakota driver's license.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working with children or youth in a residential or healthcare setting preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Administer medications to residents in accordance with physician orders, agency policies, and state regulations.
  • Monitor residents for changes in health status and report concerns to the Lead Nurse (RN) in a timely manner.
  • Maintain accurate and timely medication administration records and related documentation.
  • Assist with coordination of medical services, including scheduling and preparation for appointments as directed.
  • Support management of medical supplies, ensuring proper storage, security, and inventory.
  • Collaborate with staff to support resident health needs and follow all safety and infection control procedures.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
