Provide compassionate patient focus and perform select care duties under the supervision of a registered nurse. Improve the patient experience and maintain a safe, clean and healthy environment. Measure and record temperatures, pulses, respiration and blood pressure. Demonstrate what it means to be part of a team and raise the bar for patient care. Float to all units-in the hospital such as - Med-Surg- Critical Care-Psychiatry- Emergency Department or where needed. We have Full Time and Part Time Nursing Assistant positions available at NYP/Brooklyn Methodist located in Brooklyn, NY. Three weekend is required for the first 2 years of employment (every Saturday & Sunday). We currently have the following shifts available: Day Shift - 7:30AM-4:00PM Evening Shift - 3:30PM - 12:00AM Night Shift - 11:45PM - 7:45AM. Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- Certification from an approved, accredited Nurse Assistant training program or current Enrollment in a BSN program & completion of at least 1 clinical rotation
- Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Basic computer skills
- Must live within a commutable distance to NYP
Nice To Haves
- At least 1 year of experience as a nurse’s aide in a hospital
