About The Position

Encompass Health is seeking a Nursing Assistant to provide compassionate, personalized care to patients in an inpatient rehabilitation setting. The role supports registered nurses and helps patients progress through their rehabilitation journeys, using specialized skills and working with a supportive team. The Nursing Assistant has time to understand patients’ needs and help them achieve their rehabilitation goals, while building relationships with patients and their families.

Requirements

• CPR certification is required.

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist nurses with patients and treatments as needed.
• Help patients with daily personal activities, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and eating.
• Prepare and transport patients.
• Communicate patient concerns to nurses.
• Build relationships with patients and their families and understand their needs to facilitate recovery.
• Recognize and celebrate patients’ victories and milestones.
