Under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN) and in accordance with hospital and departmental policies and procedures, the Nursing Assistant assists in providing care to patients and/or families from admission through discharge. A Nursing Assistant is a licensed paraprofessional trained to provide personal care, basic nursing support, and related healthcare services to individuals who are sick, disabled, or infirm. The Nursing Assistant must hold an active Rhode Island Nursing Assistant license issued by the Department of Health.
