Nursing Assistant Progressive Care FT Days
About The Position
Seeking a Nursing Assistant for the Progressive Care Unit at Baptist Health Floyd. This is a full-time position (36 hours weekly) with day shifts (7 am-7 pm) and is benefit eligible. The Nursing Assistant functions as an on-shift team member under the direction of the nurse, providing delegated aspects of patient care and routine non-patient care unit maintenance tasks. The Progressive Care Unit (PCU) is a 32-bed intermediate level of care unit, situated between inpatient and critical care units. While specializing in cardiovascular care, the unit manages a variety of diagnoses including CHF, dysrhythmias, DKA, respiratory issues, and sepsis. Working within an interdisciplinary team, staff provide care for a high acuity population, offering opportunities to develop assessment skills and manage specialized procedures and drips.
Requirements
- BLS for Healthcare Provider required.
- High school diploma/equivalent or CNA preferred, not required.
Nice To Haves
- Previous Nursing Assistant experience preferred.
