About The Position

The Nursing Assistant is a member of the interdisciplinary patient care team, supporting patients with activities of daily living and performing patient care skills delegated by a licensed nurse within the Ohio Board of Nursing Scope of Practice. The role requires maintaining and demonstrating knowledge, skill, and ability in delegated tasks. The Nursing Assistant also supports department operational needs and performs other duties as assigned. This position reports to the Clinical Nurse Manager.

Requirements

• Successful completion of Kettering Health Nursing Assistant orientation.
• Certification in CPR/BLS.
• Must meet at least one of the following: six months of experience as a nursing assistant in a hospital or long-term care facility; completion of a Nursing Assistant course in the last six months; nursing student or listed as pre-nursing on transcripts; or current employee with Kettering Health.
