About The Position
Rivers Health is seeking a full-time Nursing Assistant. Renders patient care and a variety of procedures under supervision of a registered nurse or licensed practical nurse.
Requirements
- Basic ability to read, write and understand simple instructions.
- CPR required.
- Meet unit proficiency standards.
- High school graduate or equivalent required.
- BLS required.

- Previous experience in health care facility delivering direct patient care
Responsibilities
- Delivers and documents care according to hospital policies, procedures and philosophies.
- Follows strict aseptic technique at all times. Uses sterile technique when indicated.
- Observes and reports all patient concerns and changes in condition to a Nurse immediately.
- Safely transports patients, supplies, and specimens.
- Respects patient's privacy rights, respects values of individual patients, and provides care accordingly.
- Assists with orientation of new employees.
- Completes all annual competencies.
- Assists with unit cleanliness.
- Performs other duties that may be assigned.
- Complies with Corporate Policies, Procedures and Personnel Employee Handbook.
- Must be able to cross-train to other units.
- Demonstrates excellence in customer service skills.
- Fosters an atmosphere of teamwork and collaboration. Participates in unit meetings.
- Participates in quality improvement activities including serving on quality improvement teams.
