About The Position
The Clinical Decision Unit (CDU) on 5F primarily serves as an Observation Unit with 29 telemetry beds. The patient population is predominantly cardiac, medicine, and pre/post cardiac procedures. Patients are typically admitted from the ED, Cath Lab, and Direct Admissions that meet CDU criteria. This is a Part Time, Nights position.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Current Kentucky Nurse Aide Certification (SRNA, CNA) required or successful completion of first year of a Nursing program and validation of a clinical rotation. (Must provide a letter from school verifying completion of first year clinicals.)
- Basic Life Support- Applicants will have 30 days from their hired date to provide completion of this certification if they don’t have it already.
Responsibilities
- Provides direct patient care and related support by performing selected nursing procedures.
- Performs routine duties to assist medical and nursing personnel in the examination, treatment, and care of patients.
