Nursing Assistant PRN
About The Position
Under the direction of a Registered Nurse (RN) or other licensed care team member, provides direct patient care and related support by performing selected nursing procedures. Performs routine duties to assist medical and nursing personnel in the examination, treatment, and care of patients on a 20-bed telemetry unit specializing in post-operative cardiac surgery patients, including CABG, valve replacement/repair, vascular surgeries, CHF, and moderate risk chest pain patients. The patient population often has multiple co-morbidities and complex care needs, with patients transferred from ICU, ED, and PACU.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Current Kentucky Nurse Aide Certification required or successful completion of first year of a Nursing program and validation of a clinical rotation consistent with level of education.
- Must provide a letter from their school verifying the completion of their first year clinicals.
- Basic Life Support- Applicants will have 30 days from their hired date to provide completion of this certification if they don’t have it already.
