Nursing Assistant - FT Nights Rehab
About The Position
Under the direction/supervision of an RN, provides basic nursing care for assigned group of patients. The role involves caring for patients across various age groups and conditions depending on the unit, including general nursing units (age 15+), special care areas (high-risk conditions), maternal child units (labor and delivery, nursery), pediatric units (neonate to 18 years), GI Lab Unit (toddlers 24 months to adult), Chemical Dependent Unit and Psychiatric Unit (adults), Emergency Unit (all ages), and Surgical Services (neonate to geriatric). The position requires completing established competencies within the designated introductory period and performing other related duties as assigned.
Requirements
- High School Graduate or equivalent
- BLS-Obtained through approved American Heart Association Training Center or the Military Training Network
- Non-Violent Crisis Intervention obtained with 60 days of hire or transfer to position
Nice To Haves
- Satisfactorily completed a Nurse Assistant, EMT, Paramedic or Medical Assisting course.
- 6 months in healthcare industry and/or knowledge of basic medical terms and procedures
Responsibilities
- Provides basic nursing care for assigned group of patients under the direction/supervision of an RN.
- Completes established competencies for the position within designated introductory period.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
