About The Position

The Nursing Assistant works under the supervision of a Registered Nurse to support patients’ safety, comfort, and well-being. The role assists with patient care, responds to emergent situations, and contributes to the overall care plan, directly supporting the nursing team and patient experience.

This position is on the 4th Floor Progressive Care team at Henry Ford Wyandotte Hospital. The schedule is full-time nights, 36 hours per week, from 7:00 p.m. to 7:30 a.m.

Requirements

• High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
• Completion of a Nurse Assistant program (e.g., Patient Care Technician or Patient Assistant Technician), or current enrollment in a nursing program with successful completion of the Fundamentals of Nursing course, or foreign training and licensure as an RN without a Michigan RN license, or completion of a Medical Assistant program with or without experience, or at least one year of previous experience in a similar role.
• Complete BLS Heart Saver Certification during orientation.

Nice To Haves

• CNA certification.
