About The Position
The Nursing Assistant provides basic nursing care to a patient population under the supervision of a Registered Nurse at CPMC-California Pacific Med Center Davies. This is a Per Diem/Casual position with 8-hour day shifts, requiring availability on various days of the week including weekends as needed. Employees may handle hazardous drugs in accordance with USP 800 guidelines.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or General Education (GED)
- Hospital Assistant or equivalent training (nursing student)
- CNA-Certified Nurse Assistant
- BLS-Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider
- Previous experience as a Nursing Assistant in an acute care hospital or nursing student
Responsibilities
- Provides basic nursing care to a patient population under the supervision of a Registered Nurse
- Manage, store, prepare, receive, unpack, transport, dispose of, or administer drugs identified as hazardous or potentially hazardous by the National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH) and in accordance with the USP 800 guidelines
