Under the direction/supervision of an RN, this position provides basic nursing care for an assigned group of patients across various units. These units include General Nursing Units for patients aged 15 to maturity, Special Care Areas for high-risk patients aged 15 through adult, Maternal Child Units (Labor and Delivery for pregnancy-related conditions and Nursery for newborns until discharge), Pediatric units for patients from neonate through eighteen, GI Lab Unit for toddlers (beginning age 24 months) through adult, Chemical Dependent Unit and Psychiatric Unit for adult patients and families with emotional problems, Emergency Unit for patients of all ages (pediatric and high-risk adult care), and Surgical Services for patients from neonate to geriatric. The role also involves completing established competencies within a designated introductory period and performing other related duties as assigned.
