About The Position

Southern Kentucky Rehabilitation Hospital, a partnership between Select Medical and Vibra Healthcare, is seeking a PRN/Per Diem Nursing Assistant for night shifts (7p-7a). Our Inpatient Rehabilitation Hospital is dedicated to providing exceptional and compassionate care for individuals facing medical, physical, emotional, and vocational challenges resulting from brain injuries, spinal cord injuries, neurological disorders, orthopedic issues, amputations, and multiple traumas. Requirements

High school diploma/GED OR relevant work experience (3+ years)
Hospital experience as a nursing assistant, certification as a nursing assistant or experience in a related field (i.e. medical assistant, actively enrolled RN student)
BLS is required within 90 days of hire
Post offer employment testing (POETs) are completed as part of the onboarding process and are to be completed before an employee's first day of work.

Responsibilities

Obtain vital signs, height, weight and demographic data
Assist patients with personal and daily care, such as bathing, oral hygiene, shaving and hair care
Deliver meals and snacks, feed patients who are unable to feed themselves and document oral intake
Turn and position immobile patients safely while maintaining proper body alignment; participate in mobility program
Transport patients to designated areas, such as to and from various treatment centers
