About The Position
St. Francis is hiring experienced Patient Care Associates (Nursing Assistants) and those looking to become Nursing Assistants to join our team. Upon successful completion of this program, chosen applicants are awarded a role working at our facility in one of our numerous specialties. The Nursing Assistant (Patient Care Associate) Program involves classroom-style learning supplemented with hands-on clinical training. Skills you will learn include patient care activities such as proper hygienic care (bathing, showering, shaving, etc.), assisting with hydration and nutrition, ambulation and transportation of patients, therapeutic communication, and assisting in emergency situations. BLS certification is provided. Training/Orientation is fully paid at the same rate of the position. There is an agreement to a 1-year commitment period working at St. Francis Hospital upon successful completion of the training program.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- Passion for patient care, positive attitude and willingness to learn
Nice To Haves
- Customer Service experience
- Caregiver experience
- Demonstrated interest and/or exposure to healthcare
