Nursing Assistant - PRN Night
About The Position
Baylor Scott & White Institute for Rehabilitation, a joint venture with Select Medical, is seeking a PRN Nursing Assistant for night shifts (7:00 p.m. - 7:00 a.m.) at their Inpatient Rehabilitation Hospital in Temple, TX. The hospital is dedicated to providing exceptional and compassionate care for individuals with a wide range of conditions including brain injuries, spinal cord injuries, neurological disorders, orthopedic issues, amputation, and multiple traumas. The role offers an extensive orientation program, opportunities for advancement, and the chance to join a large team committed to patient care.
Requirements
- High school diploma/GED OR relevant work experience (3+ years)
- Hospital experience as a nursing assistant, certification as a nursing assistant or experience in a related field (i.e. medical assistant, actively enrolled RN student)
- BLS through American Heart Association is required
Responsibilities
- Obtain vital signs, height, weight and demographic data
- Assist patients with personal and daily care, such as bathing, oral hygiene, shaving and hair care
- Deliver meals and snacks, feed patients who are unable to feed themselves and document oral intake
- Turn and position immobile patients safely while maintaining proper body alignment; participate in mobility program
- Transport patients to designated areas, such as to and from various treatment centers
