The Clinical Resource Unit is seeking a Full-Time Nursing Assistant for night shifts. This role involves assisting Registered Nurses (RNs) with the daily care of patients, including bathing, oral hygiene, feeding, and ambulation. The Nursing Assistant will measure and document vital signs, intake and output, and patient data, accurately recording information in the Electronic Medical Record (EMR). Responsibilities also include performing purposeful rounding, assisting with patient admissions, transfers, and discharges, and ensuring patient call lights are within reach and answered promptly. The role requires collecting specimens, performing point-of-care testing, completing errands, maintaining stock for the nursing area, and cleaning equipment. Additionally, the Nursing Assistant will perform patient positioning and transporting duties, assist with nutritional needs, maintain skin integrity, and ensure special patient supplies are provided. Depending on site/unit requirements and under RN direction, tasks may include removing IVs, providing post-mortem care, and performing bladder scans. The position emphasizes practicing within infection prevention policies, including hand hygiene and knowledge of sterile and aseptic procedures, and requires the ability to provide age-appropriate care.
