Nursing Assistant Unit Secretary Cardio ICU PT Nights
About The Position
Baptist Health Floyd is seeking a Nursing Assistant Unit Secretary for their Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit. This is a Part-Time position working 24 hours per week on the night shift (7pm-7am) and is benefit eligible. The Nursing Assistant Unit Secretary functions as an on-shift team member under the direction of the nurse by providing delegated aspects of patient care and routine non-patient care unit maintenance tasks. The Cardiovascular ICU (CVU) of Baptist Health Floyd specializes in the care of open-heart surgery patients, utilizing an innovative universal bed concept. The team provides expert cardiac care from pre-operative teaching to open-heart recovery, cardiac ICU care, and discharge teaching. While cardiac surgery patients are the primary focus, the CVU team also cares for general ICU patients, complex cardiology patients, patients requiring cardiac devices such as intra-aortic balloon pumps and Impellas, and patients requiring cooling after cardiac arrest.
Requirements
- BLS certification from approved BLS course required (training will be provided)
- Previous Nursing Assistant experience required
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
