About The Position

Under the direction/supervision of an RN, provides basic nursing care for assigned group of patients. Emergency Unit provides care to presenting patients of all ages by clinically competent staff in pediatric and high- risk adult care. Completes established competencies for the position within designated introductory period. Performs receptionist and clerical duties for assigned nursing units under the supervision of the Clinical Manager/Director. Completes established competencies for the position within designated introductory period. Other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High School Graduate or equivalent
• Must have active healthcare provider Basic Life Support on hire (ARC or AHA); however, must have AHA Healthcare Provider BLS within 60 days of hire.
• Non-Violent Crisis Intervention obtained with 60 days of hire or transfer to position

Nice To Haves

• Satisfactorily completed a Nurse Assistant, EMT, Paramedic, Medical Assisting course or graduate of a unit clerk/secretary course.
• one year as a secretary
