About The Position

Dallas Retirement Village proudly offers a Nursing Assistant Training Program, taught hands-on by a Registered Nurse with more than 40 years of experience in the nursing field. The Nursing Assistant Training Program course is designed to give individuals the skills and knowledge to pass the Oregon State Board of Nursing (OSBN) certification test, laying the foundation to become a compassionate and experienced care provider. The course is free, as Dallas Retirement Village believes in social accountability and supports those who wish to expand their education and expertise in the healthcare industry – especially those who enjoy working with the senior population. Textbook and workbook are provided by Dallas Retirement Village. Applications must be submitted online and completed in full. Applicants will be contacted by Dallas Retirement Village to set up an interview with a teaching Registered Nurse and a student background check will be performed. Two Letters of Reference are required to be submitted at the time of the student interview. Classes are ongoing throughout the year; each session lasts approximately 4 weeks. The course consists of both a classroom and clinical component and will last approximately 4 weeks from the start of class to graduation day.

  • Must be at least 18 years of age due to the lift equipment required use instructions.
