Under the supervision of the Clinical Educator, the Nursing Assistant Trainee will provide general nursing care in Acute Care/Long Term Care to non-acute and/or acutely ill patients/residents while maintaining a safe and clean environment. This role requires the ability to react calmly and make sound judgments within the scope of duties when caring for ill patients/residents and in emergency situations. The job involves regular use of a Hoyer lift for non-ambulatory patients/residents and requires a caring attitude when dealing with patients/residents and families. The pace is rapid with constant pressure to complete assignments and respond to call lights. The trainee must maintain accountability for all actions and accept delegation from the supervising Registered Nurse. This position is covered under the Indian Child Protection Act.
