About The Position

The Nursing Assistant Trainee participates in a formal learning program to develop the confidence and competence needed to provide personal care to clients. As a member of the nursing team, the trainee follows location-specific infection prevention and control, personal protective equipment, safety, and privacy standards. The role involves working with clients and families to address physical, cognitive, spiritual, emotional, and social needs, and providing age-appropriate care according to care plans. The trainee assists the care team, documents care when appropriate, and reports changes in client condition or care-related concerns to a licensed nurse. Duties include assisting with activities of daily living and basic health care needs, mobility and exercise, meals and hydration, housekeeping, and laundry, as assigned within the non-certified nursing assistant role.
