Nursing Assistant Trainee
About The Position
River Valley Rehabilitation & Healthcare Center is currently hiring Nursing Assistant Trainees to join our team and prepare for our upcoming Nurse Aide Training Program! The Nurse Aide Training Program includes a six-week lecture portion running from October 5 through November 10, followed by required skills training and clinical experience. Upon completion, students will be prepared to take the State Certification Test to become a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA).
Requirements
- Interested in becoming a Certified Nursing Assistant
- CNA certification in Colorado or a compact state or willingness to complete the CNA training program
- CPR certification preferred
- Long-term care experience preferred but not required
- Must be dependable, compassionate, and ready to learn!
Responsibilities
- Assist residents with activities of daily living
- Support CNAs and the nursing team with resident care
- Follow facility policies and procedures
- Follow all applicable state and federal guidelines
- Provide compassionate and respectful care to residents
