About The Position
Village Crest is seeking a motivated Nursing Assistant Trainee (CNA) to join their team. This is an entry-level position that offers paid training to prepare individuals for the Certified Nursing Assistant exam. Upon successful completion of the training program, a full-time position is guaranteed. The role involves hands-on training and mentorship to develop essential skills in providing care to residents, learning healthcare protocols, assisting nursing staff, and supporting residents with daily living activities.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Interest in the nursing needs of the aged and the chronically ill with the ability to work with both
- Passion for healthcare and a desire to learn and grow in a Long-Term Care setting
- Compassionate and empathetic nature
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
Responsibilities
- Engage in training programs to gain knowledge of healthcare protocols and procedures
- Learn and apply fundamental nursing skills under supervision
- Assist nursing staff in providing daily care to residents
- Support residents with activities of daily living, including bathing and grooming
- Collaborate with the care team to ensure the well-being of residents
